Cuevas Medek Exercises (CME)

I am a Level I Certified Cuevas Medek Exercises (CME) practitioner, trained by Romanian instructor Adrian Stupinean (CME Level IV).

CME is a dynamic therapy for babies and children with motor delays caused by central nervous system impairments, designed to promote new motor functions and greater independence in activities like sitting, standing, and walking. I use CME principles to challenge each child safely and effectively, helping them build strength, balance, and confidence.

Principles of CME:

  1. Exercises provoke the appearance of the absent motor functions
  2. Exercises provoke the automatic responses of functional-postural motor control
  3. Exposes the body segments to the influence of gravity
  4. Promotes the use of distal support rather than hand-to-hand contact or the use of upper limb support e.g. walkers

Is CME the missing piece in your child's therapy? Contact us today to discuss how CME can help your child.

Every child is different, so I tailor therapy to their needs, goals and environment. Sessions are play-based and designed to build meaningful skills that carry into everyday life.

Functional Physiotherapy

Functional, play-based physiotherapy helps kids develop the skills they need for everyday activities that matter most to them and their families. By targeting movement patterns used in real-life play, self-care, and community participation, therapy is meaningful and goal-driven.

This approach considers the whole body and creates a personalised plan to meet each child’s unique needs, supporting the development of strength, coordination, balance, and agility for activities important to them e.g. rolling, walking, jumping, climbing.

As a mobile service, sessions take place in the child’s natural environments at home, school, or playground, making it easier to integrate exercises into daily routines and enhance the child’s confidence and participation in their real-world settings.

Task-Specific Electrical Stimulation (TASES)

Task-Specific Electrical Stimulation (TASES) combines electrical stimulation with functional movements such as walking, standing, sitting and transitional movements.

Electrical stimulation may help to:

  • Activate weaker muscles
  • Reduce stiffness in spastic muscles
  • Improve sensory awareness
  • Increase blood flow

TASES integrates electrical stimulation with meaningful, goal-directed activities to support improved quality of movement during everyday tasks.

This approach may benefit children with:

  • Cerebral Palsy or other neurological conditions
  • Genetic conditions

Sessions are individualised to your child’s goals, abilities and daily environments. Unsure if TASES would be suitable for your child? Contact us to discuss.

NDIS Reports

NDIS review reports and associated assessments.

Please note Functional Capacity Assessments (FCA) are not completed by physiotherapists.

Equipment trials

I provide mobility aid assessment alongside local equipment suppliers. Due to the complexity of equipment prescription, this service is only available for regular/ongoing clients.
